Forms & Strengths
- Oral tablets: 50 mg

Adult Dosing
- Angina pectoris: 50 mg to 100 mg orally 3 times daily
- Maximum daily dose: 300 mg
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established
Indications
- Prophylaxis and treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris
- Management of coronary insufficiency
Mechanism of Action
- Coronary vasodilator that improves myocardial oxygen supply-demand balance
- Exhibits mild antiplatelet and anti-ischemic properties at the cellular level
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to imolamine or any excipients
- Acute myocardial infarction with cardiogenic shock
- Severe hypotension
Adverse Reactions
- Gastrointestinal distress (nausea, dyspepsia)
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Flushing
- Palpitations
Drug Interactions
- Potentiation of hypotensive effects when co-administered with antihypertensive medications or nitrates
- Potential enhancement of vasodilatory effects with phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors
