Forms & Strengths
- film-coated tablets: 10mg
Adult Dosing
- 10mg once daily, with or without food
- dose adjustments for hepatic impairment: 5mg once daily
Pediatric Dosing
- safety and efficacy not established in patients under 18 years
Indications
- primary hypercholesterolemia
- heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia
- hoFH in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies
Mechanism of Action
- inhibition of ACLY, blocking cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to lerodalcibep or any component of the formulation
- severe hepatic impairment
Adverse Reactions
- elevated liver enzymes
- nausea
- diarrhea
- abdominal pain
- fatigue
- myalgia
Drug Interactions
- increased risk of myopathy with statins
- decreased efficacy with bile acid sequestrants
- potential interaction with warfarin, requiring monitoring of INR
