Forms & Strengths
- cream 2%
- ointment 2%
- powder 2%
- solution 2%
Adult Dosing
- apply topically 2-3 times a day
- treat for 2-4 weeks
- discontinue if no improvement after 1 week
Pediatric Dosing
- apply topically 2-3 times a day
- treat for 2-4 weeks
- discontinue if no improvement after 1 week
- no specific pediatric dosage recommendations
Indications
- tinea pedis (athlete's foot)
- tinea cruris (jock itch)
- tinea corporis (ringworm)
- cutaneous candidiasis
Mechanism of Action
- fungistatic at low concentrations
- fungicidal at high concentrations
- inhibits fungal cell membrane function
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to undecylenic acid
- open wounds or broken skin
Adverse Reactions
- skin irritation
- pruritus
- erythema
- stinging
Drug Interactions
- do not use with other topical antifungals
- potential interaction with immunosuppressive therapy
