Forms & Strengths
- Solution for injection: 30 mg/mL
- Single-dose prefilled syringe or autoinjector
Adult Dosing
- Initial dose: 30 mg subcutaneously on Day 1
- Maintenance dose: 30 mg subcutaneously every 4 weeks
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and efficacy not established in patients under 18 years of age
Indications
- Treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis in adults
- Treatment of prurigo nodularis in adults
Mechanism of Action
- Selective humanized monoclonal antibody against interleukin-31 receptor alpha (IL-31RA)
- Blocks IL-31 signaling, reducing itching and inflammation
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to nemolizumab or any of its excipients
Adverse Reactions
- Common: nasopharyngitis, headache, fatigue, upper respiratory tract infection
- Serious: hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis
Drug Interactions
- Increased risk of infection with immunosuppressive agents
- Concomitant use with live vaccines not recommended
