Forms & Strengths
- Cream 5% (50 mg/g)
- Ointment 5% (50 mg/g)
Adult Dosing
- Apply 2-3 times daily for skin conditions
- Maximum 8 weeks of continuous use
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and efficacy not established in children under 18
- Use is not recommended in pediatric patients
Indications
- Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate rosacea
- Symptomatic treatment of atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions
Mechanism of Action
- Immunomodulatory effects
- Anti-inflammatory properties through inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to oxaceprol or any of its excipients
- Active skin infections
Adverse Reactions
- Burning sensation at application site
- Itching
- Redness
- Skin irritation
Drug Interactions
- None significant reported at recommended doses
- Caution with concomitant use of other immunosuppressive agents
