Adult Dosing
- Apply to affected area twice daily
- Continue treatment for 2-4 weeks
Pediatric Dosing
- Same as adult dose for children over 12 years
- Not recommended for children under 12 years
Indications
- Dermatophyte infections
- Cutaneous candidiasis
- Tinea pedis
- Tinea cruris
- Tinea corporis
Mechanism of Action
- Inhibits ergosterol synthesis
- Disrupts fungal cell membrane
- Fungicidal and fungistatic effects
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to oxiconazole
- Pregnancy and lactation (use with caution)
Adverse Reactions
- Skin irritation
- Pruritus
- Burning sensation
- Erythema
Drug Interactions
- May increase risk of skin irritation with other topical agents
- None reported with systemic agents
