Forms & Strengths
- Elonva: 100 mcg/mL solution for injection, pre-filled pen
- Elonva: 100 mcg/0.5 mL solution for injection, pre-filled syringe
Adult Dosing
- Follicular stimulation: 100 mcg s.c. on Day 2 or 3 of cycle
- Dose adjustment based on ovarian response
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and efficacy not established in pediatric patients
Indications
- Follicular stimulation for assisted reproduction technologies
- Treatment of anovulatory infertility
Mechanism of Action
- Stimulates follicular growth and maturation
- Increases estradiol production
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to corifollitropin alfa or FSH
- Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy
- Tumors of the pituitary gland or hypothalamus
- High risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS)
Adverse Reactions
- Injection site reactions
- Headache
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS)
Drug Interactions
- Do not co-administer with other FSH-containing products
- May be used with GnRH antagonist to prevent premature luteinization
