Forms & Strengths
- Powder for reconstitution: 200 mg per single-dose vial
Adult Dosing
- Invasive candidiasis: 400 mg IV initial loading dose, then 200 mg IV once weekly thereafter for a total duration based on clinical response (typically 2 weeks after resolution of signs/symptoms and negative cultures)
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients (< 18 years of age) have not been established
Indications
- Treatment of invasive candidiasis in adult patients with limited or no alternative treatment options
Mechanism of Action
- Echinocandin antifungal agent; selectively inhibits 1,3-beta-D-glucan synthase, resulting in depletion of 1,3-beta-D-glucan and disruption of fungal cell wall integrity
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to rezafungin or other echinocandins

- Hypokalemia
- Pyrexia
- Diarrhea
- Anemia
- Vomiting
- Nausea
- Hypomagnesemia
- Abdominal pain
- Infusion-related reactions (e.g., histamine-mediated symptoms)
Drug Interactions
- No clinically significant pharmacokinetic drug-interactions identified in clinical studies
- Does not inhibit or induce major CYP450 enzymes
