sugemalimab
L01FF11
Forms & Strengths
- Intravenous solution: 120 mg/12 mL (10 mg/mL) in a single-dose vial
Adult Dosing
- Metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): 1200 mg IV every 3 weeks until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity
Pediatric Dosing
- Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established
Indications
- First-line treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in combination with chemotherapy
- Treatment of unresectable stage III non-small cell lung cancer without disease progression after concurrent or sequential platinum-based chemoradiotherapy
Mechanism of Action
- Monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1)
- Blocks the interaction of PD-L1 with PD-1 and B7-1 receptors
- Reactivates anti-tumor T-cell responses
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to sugemalimab or any of its excipients
Adverse Reactions
- Pneumonitis
- Colitis
- Hepatotoxicity
- Endocrinopathies (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, type 1 diabetes mellitus)
- Nephritis and renal dysfunction
- Severe skin reactions (including Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
- Infusion-related reactions
Drug Interactions
- Systemic corticosteroids and immunosuppressants should be avoided prior to starting sugemalimab due to potential interference with pharmacodynamic activity
- Corticosteroids and immunosuppressive agents may be used to manage immune-mediated adverse reactions after initiation
