Forms & Strengths
- Tablets: 50mg, 100mg
- Capsules: 50mg, 100mg
- Ophthalmic solution: 0.03%
Adult Dosing
- Osteoarthritis: 50-100mg twice a day
- Rheumatoid arthritis: 100-200mg twice a day
- Pain relief: 50-100mg every 4-6 hours as needed
Pediatric Dosing
- Not recommended for children under 12 years
- Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: 100-200mg twice a day for children over 12 years

Mechanism of Action
- Inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes
- Reduces prostaglandin synthesis
- Has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to flurbiprofen
- Active peptic ulcer disease
- Aspirin-induced asthma
- Severe renal or hepatic impairment
- Pregnancy and lactation

Drug Interactions
- Warfarin: increased anticoagulant effect
- Aspirin: increased risk of GI bleeding
- Diuretics: reduced diuretic effect

- Methotrexate: increased toxicity
