Forms & Strengths
- Tablets: 25mg
- Oral solution: 25mg/5mL
- Injectable: 50mg/2mL
Adult Dosing
- 25mg every 8 hours for mild-moderate pain
- 50mg every 8 hours for moderate-severe pain
- Maximum daily dose: 150mg
Pediatric Dosing
- Not recommended for children under 12 years
- For children 12-18 years: same as adult dosing
Indications
- Treatment of mild-moderate pain
- Treatment of moderate-severe pain
- Symptomatic treatment of dysmenorrhea
- Short-term treatment of acute pain
Mechanism of Action
- Inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes
- Reduces prostaglandin synthesis
- Relieves pain and inflammation
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to dexketoprofen or other NSAIDs
- Active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding
- Severe liver or kidney impairment
Adverse Reactions
- Gastrointestinal upset
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Nausea and vomiting
- Increased risk of bleeding
Drug Interactions
- Increased risk of bleeding with anticoagulants
- Reduced renal function with diuretics
- Increased risk of gastrointestinal toxicity with corticosteroids
