Forms & Strengths
- Tablets: 25mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg, 150mg, 200mg
- Capsules: 25mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg
- Injectable: 100mg/mL
- Topical gel or cream: 2.5%, 5%
Adult Dosing
- Osteoarthritis: 50-100mg tid or 100-200mg bid
- Rheumatoid arthritis: 50-100mg tid or 100-200mg bid
- Pain management: 25-50mg q 6-8h as needed
Pediatric Dosing
- Not recommended for children under 16 years old
- For juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: 1-2mg/kg/day divided tid or bid

Mechanism of Action
- Non-selective inhibition of COX-1 and COX-2
- Blocks prostaglandin synthesis
- Reduces inflammation and pain
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or other NSAIDs
- Active peptic ulcer disease
- Recent GI bleeding or perforation
- Severe renal impairment
- Pregnancy (third trimester)
Adverse Reactions
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Dizziness
- GI bleeding or perforation
- Renal impairment
- Hepatotoxicity
Drug Interactions
- Aspirin: increased risk of GI bleeding
- Warfarin: increased anticoagulant effect
- ACE inhibitors: decreased antihypertensive effect
- Diuretics: decreased diuretic effect
- Lithium: increased lithium levels
