Forms & Strengths
- Topical lotion 4%

Adult Dosing
- Head lice: Apply 4% topical formulation to dry hair and scalp, ensure complete coverage, leave on for 15 minutes, then comb out and wash with regular shampoo; repeat after 7-10 days.
Pediatric Dosing
- Head lice (children > 6 months): Apply 4% topical formulation to dry hair and scalp, leave on for 15 minutes, comb out, and wash with regular shampoo; repeat after 7-10 days.
Indications
- Treatment of head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) infestations
Mechanism of Action
- Acts via a physical mechanism by coating and suffocating lice, blocking their spiracles and water excretion system without systemic neurotoxic pharmacological action.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to dimeticone or any component of the formulation
- Application on broken or inflamed skin
Adverse Reactions
- Mild skin irritation
- Pruritus
- Erythema at application site
- Ocular irritation if contact with eyes occurs
Drug Interactions
- No clinically significant pharmacokinetic drug interactions due to negligible systemic absorption
- Avoid simultaneous use of other topical pediculicides to prevent enhanced skin irritation
