R03CC63
Forms & Strengths
- Syrup: Clenbuterol hydrochloride 0.001 mg/mL + Ambroxol hydrochloride 1.5 mg/mL
- Tablets: Clenbuterol hydrochloride 0.02 mg + Ambroxol hydrochloride 30 mg
Adult Dosing
- Syrup: 10 mL twice daily

- Asthma bronchiale
- Chronic bronchitis
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Mechanism of Action
- Clenbuterol: Selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist causing bronchodilation and stimulation of mucociliary clearance
- Ambroxol: Mucolytic agent that increases respiratory tract secretion, enhances pulmonary surfactant, and stimulates ciliary activity
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to clenbuterol, ambroxol, or any excipients
- Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM)
- Tachyarrhythmia
- First trimester of pregnancy
- Thyrotoxicosis
Adverse Reactions
- Fine tremor (usually of the fingers)
- Palpitations and tachycardia
- Nervousness and restlessness
- Headache
- Mild gastrointestinal disturbances
- Hypokalemia (with high doses)
Drug Interactions
- Non-cardeselective beta-blockers antagonize the bronchodilating effect of clenbuterol
- Concomitant use with other sympathomimetics increases the risk of cardiovascular adverse effects
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and tricyclic antidepressants potentiate the cardiovascular effects of clenbuterol
- Concurrent administration with antibiotics (e.g., amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin) increases their concentration in lung tissue
