S01LA09
Forms & Strengths
- Intravitreal solution 6 mg/0.05 mL (Vabysmo)
Adult Dosing
- Loading: 3 monthly injections (week 0, 4, 8)
- Maintenance: extend interval 8‑16 weeks based on disease activity (q8w‑q16w)
- Each dose administered as a single 0.05 mL intravitreal injection
Pediatric Dosing
- Not approved for patients <18 years; safety/efficacy data lacking
Indications
- Neovascular age‑related macular degeneration (nAMD)
- Diabetic macular edema (DME)
- Macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion (RVO)
Mechanism of Action
- Bispecific humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody binds VEGF‑A and Angiopoietin‑2
- Simultaneous inhibition reduces pathological angiogenesis and vascular leakage
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to faricimab or any excipient

- Increased intraocular pressure
- Conjunctival hemorrhage
- Retinal detachment
- Endophthalmitis
- Cataract progression
- Rare systemic arterial thromboembolic events
