vidoflufolastat (18F)
V09IX19
Forms & Strengths
- Single‑use sterile vial containing 18F‑vidoflufolastat solution
- Radiochemical purity ≥95 %
- Typical administered activity 370–740 MBq (10–20 mCi) IV
- Shelf‑life limited by 18F half‑life (≈110 min)
Adult Dosing
- Inject 370–740 MBq (10–20 mCi) intravenously over ≤5 seconds; imaging 60–120 min post‑injection
- Dose adjustment not required for body weight or renal/hepatic impairment
Pediatric Dosing
- Not approved for routine pediatric use
- If used investigationally, same activity range adjusted for lower body weight and radiation safety considerations
Indications
- PET/CT imaging of PSMA‑positive prostate cancer lesions for initial staging, biochemical recurrence, and therapy response assessment
Mechanism of Action
- High‑affinity ligand for the extracellular domain of prostate‑specific membrane antigen (PSMA)
- Ligand‑receptor complex internalized, delivering the 18F positron emitter for high‑resolution PET signal
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to vidoflufolastat or any component of the formulation
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding (radiation risk to fetus/infant)
Adverse Reactions
- Generally well tolerated
- Mild transient injection‑site pain or erythema
- Rare nausea, headache, or transient flushing
Drug Interactions
- No clinically significant drug–drug interactions reported
- Concurrent administration of other radiopharmaceuticals may affect image interpretation
